Hines Ward, the pro football star and most recent winner of Dancing with the Stars, was arrested for investigation of drunken driving in Georgia.
Ward, 35, was booked on a DUI charge at the DeKalb County jail near Atlanta at 3:41 a.m. Saturday and later released on $1,000 bail, according to jail records.
"Hines is deeply saddened by this incident and apologizes to his fans and the Steelers organization for this distraction," his agent/manager Andrew Ree says in a statement.
But Ree adds, "From our preliminary investigation we can tell you that we are confident that the facts will show that Hines was NOT impaired by alcohol while driving."
Ward's longtime friend Corey Allen posted bail, the records show. Ree says that Ward "cooperated fully with the police and truthfully answered all of their questions."
No other details of his arrest were immediately available.
The Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver took home the mirror ball trophy this season on Dancing with pro partner Kym Johnson.

Sarah Jessica Parker, who has become a surprise winner, earns a huge amount of money from her endorsements. Actor Chris Hemsworth's first look in The Cabin in the Woods has been released on net through Bloody Disgusting website. The picture teases the horror scenario of the movie. It shows the film's five lead stars Chris Hemsworth, Jesse Williams, Anna Hutchinson, Kristen Connolly and Fran Kranz standing near the fireplace inside the titular cabin. They look somewhat wary and suspicious.
The Cabin in the Woods is a story of five college-type characters who head to a mysterious cabin in the woods for a vacation, where they discover that things are not quite as they seem. Although it seems to be a stereotypical horror movie, it provides a new twist on the classic young-people-stranded-in-the-woods horror trope.
In addition to direction, Drew Goddard has co-written the script with Joss Whedon, who is the producer of the film The Cabin in the Woods. However, the release date of this horror movie has not been announced officially. But the grapevine is abuzz that it will be released in this fall.

The 13th edition of Big Brother is back with bang on Thursday. The CBS' summer series has topped the TV ratings with 7.7 million total viewers, 2.7 rating in adults 18-49 demographic improving on last year's premiere. The show was up by about 400,000 viewers.
CBS has topped the TV ratings by scoring 6.8 million viewers and a 4.3 rating/7 share in households for the night. ABC has landed in the second spot with 5.95 million, 3.5/6 and it has beaten out FOX, which got the 4.25 million viewers, 2.7/5. Meanwhile, NBC got 2.15 million viewers and a 1.5/3, which was enough to beat The CW's 1.1 million and 0.8/1.
However, CBS also managed to win the crown of the adults 18-49 crown despite averaging only a 1.9 rating in the demographic. ABC remained in the second position with its 1.7 rating. FOX, NBC and The CW landed in third (1.3), fourth (0.8) and fifth (0.4) respectively.

In one picture, Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake are in black and white dress and Mila is kissing on the nose of Justin. Another image features them getting touchy feel while lying on the bed. In a candid interview for the magazine, Justin admitted that his parents were not happy with him having sex at the young age. He said, "I was caught one time. My mom wasn't cool about it.
