Series Plot Summary:
"Love in the Wild" is an exciting adventure dating series that puts relationships to the ultimate test. Hosted by Darren McMullen (Australian "Minute to Win It"), 10 single men and 10 single women, all looking for love, will experience a romantic adventure unlike anything they could have ever imagined. These singles have tried it all - speed-dating, blind-dating, Internet dating - and now, they're headed deep into the remote jungles of Costa Rica to see if they can find that special someone they've been looking for. In each episode, the couples will pair up in exhilarating quests that will push their bodies and their emotions to the limit. Some of these include paddling down crocodile-ridden waters, navigating through bat-infested caves and hanging 200 feet above the rain forest floor as they descend down one of the most majestic waterfalls in Costa Rica. These exploits will put their relationships to the test as they fall for each other in ways they never imagined. Sparks will fly and hearts will break. After each adventure, the winning couple will share a night together at the Oasis, a lavish, five-star bungalow overflowing with everything they could possibly desire for an intimate night of romance. The remaining couples will stay with their partners in the less-luxurious "cabins", where they will gather for a night of socializing.

"Oh look, another reality show" That was my first reaction and it didn't get any better after the first ten minutes.
"Love in the Wild" is another reality show concept which takes the tired genre of "Dating" shows to another extreme. Here couples are matched and switched as they continue to see who's going to make a connection and find love, and win the ultimate prize, a trip around the world.
The pilot opens up where the women pick their partners, and are all paired off to participate in challenges which are supposed to test their ability to be compatible. At then end of the challenge, the winning couple is safe from elimination and can either decide to stay together or split up and choose different partners.
But the confusion doesn't end there, the other couples have the ability to make the same choice as well, leaving the last couple to be eliminated. Think of this as "Musical Chairs" to the worst dance song ever and you get the idea.
There's nothing wrong with the contestants, they're just bland boring people. But the "Who's with who?" and the "What do they want?" questions are the most confusing part of this. Pretty much this is a cheap boring version of "Paradise Hotel" meets "Survivor" On another note, if they had Jack and Sawyer from "LOST" in this show, it might be interesting. But if they did...I'd be rooting for the "Smoke Monster"
