At a time when she must be feeling butterflies in the stomach with the release of her Bollywood debut film, Singham round the corner, actress Kajal Aggarwal was bed-ridden due to severe flu. She couldn’t attend the promotional event of the film last week due to illness.
Kajal was suppose to travel to Delhi for Singham promotion along with actor Ajay Devgn and director Rohit Shetty but she had to cancel it due to flu. The actress said that she wanted to attend the event in Delhi but decided to stay back at home after her doctor advised her complete rest.
Well, it looks like the actress has worked too much over the last few weeks.. She has been busy promoting Singham in Mumbai and shooting her South Indian film in Hyderabad!

Ajay Devgn's much-hyped film Singham met a huge setback on the first day of its release after several Kannada organisations staged protests against the screening of the film in Karnataka over alleged derogatory remark on Kannadigas in the film. Its screening was halted in various parts of the state.
Karnataka Rakshana Vedike activists pulled down posters of the film and damaged several theatres in areas like Bidar, Hubli, Bagalkot, Raichur, Bijapur and other areas. Protestors are angry that Kannadigas are referred to dogs in a particular scene. There is a scene where villain Prakash Raj threatens Ajay that he would bring one thousand people from the Karnataka border to finish him. Ajay then said a lion is enough to thrash a thousand dogs.
However, the angry protestors claimed down after the distributors announced that the controversial dialogue has been removed from the film.
Gurgoan,Jul 23: Following the Gurgaon suicide case of 28-year-old Ruchi Bhuttani, who was found hanging at her DLF city house on Tuesday, Jul 5, her husband Sumit Bhuttan was detained the next day. But, this isn't the end. Meera Chopra, Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra's sister, another accused would also be arrested shortly as she has also played a crucial role following Ruchi's death.
"We have arrested Sumit under section 304B (dowry death) and 120B (criminal conspiracy) of the IPC. A police team has been sent to Delhi to arrest Meera Chopra, the other accused in the case. Further investigation is on progress," said a senior police official.
Initially, the case was accepted as a clean suicide. But later, police witnessed a twist in the entire issue. Ruchi, who was fond of writing diaries, wrote that she was tortured by her husband over his affair with Tamil Star Meera Chopra. Also, he compared her randomly with Meera. Hence, this was the core reason that compelled Ruchi to take up drastic steps under hyper-depression.
Ruchi's sister Shefali alleged: "Sumit first killed and then hanged her. He has an affair with model Meera Chopra, cousin of Priyanka Chopra." But, Sumit denied all allegations and claimed that he shared a good and a healthy relation with his wife.
"I had a good relation with my wife, both at home and in office. My brokerage house suffered heavy losses last week in the market. Maybe she got into depression because of this and took the extreme step," said Sumit.

Nate and the team took a trip back in time to solve the mystery of a lost painting in "The Van Gogh Job."
The episode was a break from the norm, as the squad really didn't have to pull a huge con in order to service the client. Nor were we treated to a typical “whodunit." This was more of a "whereisit."
When we first meet Charlie Lawson, we see him as a peaceful old man who's come back home after being away a long time. He seems sincerely sweet and charming, revisiting memories that include his long-ago job from his younger years. Even when a stranger approaches him, accusing Charlie of something he claims he didn't do, we still believe in Danny Glover's character, though we start to worry for him.
Shortly afterwards, we meet another man named Owen, an old colleague of Nate's from his insurance days. He, too, seems harmless enough, explaining to Nate why he's there seeking help.
And where the story goes from there is beautiful and endearing tale, with just a touch of sadness.
The installment was a refreshing change. Normally, we have an established bad guy that needs to be taken down with some elaborately pieced together con by Nate and his team. Here, we got a simple story that tugged at our hearts.
I love the seemingly complicated, yet easily executed, cons the team pulls off, but this hour proved that sometimes you don't need a whole lot of bells and whistles to figure everything out. Sometimes, all you need to do is listen.
It was fabulous to see Eliot's skills in his former line of work: retrieval. It was also interesting to glance a little into his past in regard to him knowing some of the others seeking the lost painting. They were a first name basis with each other, citing old jobs where their paths crossed.
In addition to the gift of Charlie's life story from childhood to adult, we were blessed with his tale being reenacted by our talented Leverage stars. Aside from their regular weekly personas, we saw them portray people from Charlie's past who were in some ways slightly similar to their characters, but largely very different. Versatile stuff all around.
Standout performances by Aldis Hodge and Beth Riesgraf, especially. Who wasn't moved by their portrayals of the two main characters of Charlie's biographical tale of friendship and true love and their attempt to defy prejudice and society? (Charlie and Dorothy's relationship also seemed to parallel Hardison and Parker's relationship a little.)
Overall, this week was funny, heart-warming, nostalgic and, most importantly, believable. Glover was absolutely tremendous. Charlie spent most of the episode with Parker and those scenes (including the ones with Parker and Hardison together) made me weep happy tears that warmed my soul.

In his role as Florida Detective Jim Longworth on A&E's Sunday drama "The Glades," star Matt Passmore has to occasionally slap the cuffs on a suspect. Luckily, a real police officers are around to give him some pointers.
"I'm about to restrain a guy," he tells Zap2it, talking in his trailer between scenes in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., "take him out of the room and cuff him at the car. I ask, 'What do you think?' He's like, 'Do that walk I taught you, put him on the hood, take one arm over ...'"
But Passmore has developed a handcuffing technique that's very particular to his character.
"I like the sneaky cuff," he says, "which is very Longworth. It's like, you're being cuffed before you know it. He's got a little bit of that 'Columbo' thing. He's not that cop that stands right over you, 'Where were you the night of the murder? »

Please don't be like the networks that cancel a show after a couple of episodes. I feel that In Plain Sight keeps getting better. Give it a chance! I'm no great fan of Psych or Burn Notice but I keep watching. Some episodes I like...Some episodes I don't like. And for all of you Monk fans out there...Did you pay attention to who wrote the theme song for In Plain Sight? Jeff Beal! Credit watchers unite! In fact I came to IMDb to find out who played Horst (David Foley) in one episode of In Plain Sight. It took until that episode for the show to hook me and it was the 4th episode, I think. I'm a big time fan of Monk and not all Monk episodes are great. In Plain Sight has potential so please don't write it off too soon.

Of course, his comeuppance occurs in the first few minutes of this episode as the Skitter kills him (off camera, mind you) feeling almost an episode too late. Why bring Weber back for a minute and kill him? Bad planning!

The second episode of The Real L Word was FULL of drama. The entire time I was watching the show all I could think was “I hope most of this is staged because this sh*t is over the top.” These ladies are hilarious. Let’s get right into the review.Whitney is at it again wreaking havoc amongst her own life and the lesbian community in West Hollywood. The show opens up with her and Sara having wild sex and quickly redirects its attention to a trip to the park where Sara and Whitney are walking their dogs. Whitney talks about how much she cares about Sara and how sometimes she feels as if Sara may be “the one” during commentary on the show. Everything seems serene. That is until Rachel pops up at the park and sees Sara and Whitney together. She looked pretty disappointed. This is where Whitney’s drama begins.
