The Story:
In the late Qing Dynasty, LIU Jin-xi (played by Donnie YEN) is a papermaker and father of two sons who lives a seemingly normal life with his family in a remote village. However, the arrival of a detective soon threatens to tear them apart.
Detective XU Bai-jiu (played by Takeshi KANESHIRO) arrives in town to investigate the recent death of two bandits during a robbery. It appears that they are accidentally killed by LIU out of self-defense. But upon autopsy, XU discovers that they are in fact two of the most wanted outlaws with martial arts skills! How could an average family man kill two fierce desperados single-handedly? As a kung fu fanatic, XU figures out that this is no pure accident; LIU must conceal extraordinary martial arts skill necessary to make such a deadly defense. XU’s investigation further leads him to the involvement of the 72 Demons – the most hostile and vicious clan in the martial arts world whose members are trained to kill without mercy. Review:
Wu Xia, also known as Dragon in certain regions, premiered at Cannes recently but was not an official selection. It is directed by Peter Chan, who has made films such as Comrades: Almost a Love Story (1996) and The Warlords (2007), and stars a strong cast including Donnie Yen, Takeshi Kaneshiro, and Tang Wei. Thankfully, it is not "one of those films" from that worn-out Asian martial arts genre that gained worldwide popularity eleven years ago with Lee Ang's Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, but has fallen short of the high standards as seen from some of the mediocre output in recent years.

The story follows Liu Jin Xi (Yen), a down-to-earth villager who has two young sons and a beautiful wife, Ayu (Tang). After an attempted robbery by two vicious bandits ended in their deaths at the hands of Liu, a smart but nosy detective Xu Bai Jiu (Kaneshiro), who comes to investigate, suspects that Liu may not be what he seems to be. Evidence points that he could be one of the most feared and cruel killers who had escaped justice ten years ago. As the plot thickens, a new subplot emerges that would pave the way for a tense, exciting climax. . ....

Movie Review:
From the director Joe Wright who brought you "Atonement" and "Pride and Prejudice", "Hanna" is one of those stories that portray a brilliant dance of innocence and violence. Soarise Ronan who plays the title character takes centre stage as a teenage assassin who has been trained by her father (Eric Bana) to ruthlessly kill and track a corrupt CIA agent, Marissa Wiegler portrayed by Cate Blanchett.

It starts off with Hanna, out in the wild somewhere in Finland hunting a deer, which she eventually kills. We go on to learn that she has been cut off from technology or a normal life, hence giving her that delicate innocence. She has been given a back-story to memorise to be used at the "right time" because that's what all assassins live on. The plot picks up its pace once she is captured by the CIA and escapes using her mad killing skills. The story then starts to unravel itself when Hanna starts finding answers about who she really is and what her true purpose is.

Soarise Ronan's top-notch performance is definitely to look out for as her innocence comes off being so real. This Irish young lass proves that even while killing people mercilessly and speaking in multiple languages, she can still be oblivious to the harmless lesbian undercurrents. That purity makes us gasp when she breaks necks and shoots men point blank. ....

Bindu Madhavi, who is due for a break in the Tamil film industry, will be seen in the role of a call girl in Gautham Menon's upcoming Tamil film Veppam. Speaking about her character, the actress has confirmed that she is playing the role of a sex worker but assures that there is no skin show or vulgar scenes in the film.

She feels that an actress should have guts to accept such roles and Bindu Madhavi wants prove that she has got good acting skills. An innocent boatman Ramsharan (Karan Razdan) is captured on high seas by the mujahideen. His shipping trawler is taken over. Men working under him are killed. The course of his trawler changed. The Nawab of the district (Zakir Hussein) takes a keen interest in the family. A Moulana (Anang Desai) tries to help the Sharan family. He introduces them to Peer Jammatuddin Shah Baba (Anupam Kher).
The Peer fakir tries to exorcise the spirit from Muskaan being. But he fails.
A strange thing happens one night. The spirit attacks. The family fights back. The spirit gets trapped. So we think. It hits the walls with great ferocity. Escapes through the chimney.

But the strange part is that the spirit has written something on the wall. But it's in ancient Urdu. Which even the maulana can't read.
Whose spirit is it ? Is it an ancient spirit ? What is it trying to say or do ?
