How do you make a show about a person who’s dying of cancer and have it not be depressing? AMC has answered that question with Breaking Bad (set to return for Season 4 next month) and Showtime’s answer is The Big C, a series about her woman who’s struggling to get a grip on her life after learning that she has Stage IV melanoma. Last season ended with Cathy’s son Adam learning about her disease and coming to realize just how serious the situation is. Season 2 picks up with Cathy (Laura Linney) determined to beat her cancer and trying desperately to get an appointment with Dr. Atticus Sherman (Alan Alda), a doctor/magician who may be able to get her into a clinical trial, which could be the key to a cure for her disease. Cathy’s husband Paul (Oliver Platt) is trying to be the supportive, loving husband that Cathy needs, but he’s as new to cancer as his wife as and taking things as they come. You get the sense that they're together in this, for better or worse. Meanwhile, their son Adam (Gabriel Basso) is still adjusting to learning the truth about his mother’s illness, and part of that comes with added attention at school now that her diagnosis is public knowledge. Finally, Cathy’s mentally unstable brother Sean (John Benjamin Hickey) is preparing to be a father, having impregnated Cathy’s old college friend Rebecca (Cynthia Nixon). Marlene (Phyllis Somerville) may be dead, but she isn’t gone. The older woman took her own life last season after her dementia nearly caused her to shoot Adam. Now Sean has taken up residence in her house and Marlene is appearing to Cathy in brief hallucinations. Using a deceased character's ghost to give us an opportunity to get further into the mind of the lead character isn’t a new tactic. It’s worked nicely for Dexter and Rescue Me and it works just as well on The Big C. Death now has a face and a voice for Cathy. Marlene’s “ghost” gives Cathy a chance to say what few things she isn’t able to share with the other people in her lives. It also gives us more Phyllis Somerville, which is a bonus. .Paul plays matchmaker for Andrea and the Ukrainian coworker he is mentoring; an indiscreet Adam is responsible for jeopardizing Cathy's new job as a swim coach; and Sean contemplates taking the next step with Rebecca and seeks advice on how to go about it..Cathy tries dabbling in the supernatural after she's unsuccessful at scoring a spot in a clinical trial for a new cancer treatment overseen by a renowned oncologist (Alan Alda). Meanwhile, Sean takes on a take-charge attitude around the house, and Adam uses his mother's medical situation to his advantage at school.A suburban mom, diagnosed with cancer, tries to find the humor in the disease.Seeking to lower her blood pressure for the clinical trial, Cathy visits a Tibetan doctor with Lee and finds she has an unexpected connection to him; Paul decides to rise above his jealousy of Lee and go out with him and Cathy for an evening; a grounded and bored Adam nearly ruins Andrea's first date with Myk.

Episode Storyline:
Fargo becomes trapped in a video game inspired by Warehouse 13 and requires help from Pete, Claudia and Myka. Meanwhile, Stukowski recruits Artie and Steve to help with a case, and catches them stealing an artifact.

Season Synopsis:
Season two began right after the events of the season finale of season one, Pete and Myka find that Artie survived the explosion due to MacPherson slipping the Phoenix artifact into his pocket when they fought, causing the driver in Mrs. Frederic's car to die and to then explode but Mrs. Frederic just survived by jumping out of the car before the explosion. While under the control of MacPherson, Leena reverses the bronzing of another past Warehouse agent named H.G. Wells, so that McPherson could break into the Escher Vault inside the Warehouse. Until she turns on MacPherson and kills him after taking an artifact from the Vault. Mrs. Frederic realizes the Leena was the one who was stealing Artifacts from the Warehouse under the control of the Pearl of Wisdom, and helps remove it from Leena's brain. Later Artie starts seeing MacPherson over the Warehouse and Leena tells Artie that he may be seeing him because he has some unfinished business with him while Leena keeps having waves of vertigo and it is revealed that there is some residual energy from MacPherson trapped in her brain, which was removed by Mrs. Frederic and The Regents.
Later in season two H.G. Wells returns and starts helping them collect artifacts and is then reinstated as a agent which annoys Artie since he doesn't trust her. After Warehouse 2 is reactivated, Mrs. Frederic starts to have visions of Warehouse 2 that are slowly killing her and in the event of Mrs. Frederic's death, Claudia finds out that she would then take over as the new Warehouse caretaker, which upsets her. Pete, Myka, H.G. and Benedict Valda attempt to deactivate Warehouse 2 and so the other can continue onward, Valda ends up sacrificing himself. When they finally deactivate Warehouse 2 they find out that H.G. was looking for Warehouse 2 so she could get the Minoan Trident and create another ice age. Myka and Artie track H.G. down and stop her from causing another ice age and due to the preceding events, Myka realizes that she was wrong to trust H.G. and resigns as a warehouse agent, worrying that the mistake will haunt her and keep her from being an effective agent.

Derek's return helps Scott in not making a huge decision which would have jeopardized many.Jackson puts Scott in danger; Allison starts to question her family's strange behavior.

The Story:
Varnam is the story of seventeen year old Mani learning that the hard way. Unable to put up with Mani's troublesome antics, his mother sends him to his distant uncle Durai’s home for his +2 studies. Mani, who had lost his father in a tragic caste related incident in their village ten years ago, wishes to seek revenge for his father’s death. But, he doesn’t know Velu, a lower caste person, who was responsible for his father’s death. Mani understands that memory is necessary for revenge and he keeps his desire for revenge alive by repeatedly sketching his father's image.
Mani's uncle Durai and his partner Rathnam own a mid size coffee estate. They use their position and money to exploit the helpless lower caste farmers. Durai takes Mani under his wings and Mani enjoys every bit of his uncle’s authority. Durai also wants to marry Rathnam’s sister Kavitha who happens to be Mani's teacher at school.
Kavitha becomes very upset with Mani’s prejudiced behavior when he humiliates a lower caste teacher in the class. To Mani's chagrin, Kavitha asks Mani to learn from Thangam, a fellow student who is also a lower caste girl. As Kavitha learns more about Mani and his sketching, she is supportive of his talent and this helps Mani to see Kavitha in a totally new light.
This is the setup in which Mani’s journey into adulthood starts where he is deeply influenced both by his uncle Durai and his teacher Kavitha. His inner turmoil to reconcile with his prejudices, his desire to seek revenge, his liking for Thangam and certain irrevocable and violent consequences of his seemingly casual acts form the rest of the story of this powerful action drama.

Ace producer-turned-politician Michael Royappan has recently bagged the release rights of Varnam, directed by debutant S.M. Raju. The film received a U/A certificate from the Censor Board last week. Giri, a newcomer, plays the protagonist and Monica is the female lead.
Varnam is set against the backdrop of Theni. The story revolves around the life of a teenage boy who loses his parents in a calamity and is adopted by his uncle. He relocates to his uncle's house and joins school there. Influenced by the new-found family members and their attitudes, the boy goes through a lot of things in his life. Adrift in a confusing melange of good and bad, he learns through his experiences. Issues related to caste clashes, status differences and a sweet love affair chisel the personality of the teenager. What happens to him is told in a riveting screenplay.

Bharath has broken his silence on the issue with a leading Tamil magazine. The actor said that he had a bad experience of his life while working for Vaanam. The movie, which was supposed to be multi-starrer film, turned out to be an one man's show in the end. The music album has seven songs of which Vijay Antony himself has rendered a couple. The songs are peppy and nice to listen to. The listener is reminded of Ilayaraja in a few numbers. And at the same time, Vijay Antony has come up with his typical songs too in the album.
A melody number that is sure to appease fans. The vocals are cute and so are the lyrics. The lyrics are clear in rendition .Music takes a back stage and the voices dominate which is a rarity in Tamil film music these days. Vijay Prakash and Madhumitha render the song in style. Three cheers to Vijay Antony for the use of catchy tune.

According to reports, Aadhi was doing an action sequence without a stunt double, when he fell from a five-feet tree. Sources say that the actor declined the director's offer to use a stuntman for the scene. It is said that the actor wanted to do it on his own. As a result, he injured his hands and legs badly.
Soon after the incident, he was taken to nearby hospital. However, he will be in bed rest for a few days, as per the doctors advice. However, the shooting of the film has been called off.
Aravaan is a period-film directed by Vasantha Balan and produced by Amma Creatrions T Siva. Aadhi and Dhansika are playing the lead roles in the film. Internationally-acclaimed actor Kabir Bedi is also doing a guest role in the film.

Malayalam actress Bhavana is now teaming up again with young romantic star Kunchacko Boban for a new film titled Doctor Love, which is produced by Joy Thomas Sakthikulangara under the banner of Jithin Arts. It will be directed by debutante Biju Arukutti, who has worked as an associate director in several films.
The movie Doctor Love is said to be a romantic entertainer filled with comedy and some sentiment. Kunchacko Boban is said to be playing the hero, while Bhavana reprises the role of heroine. It is reported that Kunchacko will appear in new getup in movie. The shooting of the film would start in May.
However, Bhavana has already worked with Kunchacko Boban in several films. She has acted alongside him in movies like Lollipop and Swapnakoodu. They had even been paired together in Hridayathil Sookshikkan, which was directed by Traffic fame Rajesh Pillai.

Serial Summary:
Taanya is a beautiful, intelligent and multi-faceted computer science student in Mumbai. As she is about to pass out of college, her parents begin to talk about her marriage. That’s when she tells them that she likes a boy called Tej and wants to marry him.
Tej also loves her but is reluctant to accept the proposal because of a problem in his family. While he does not want to cheat her by keeping the truth from her, he is scared of losing her if he tells her about his family’s problem. His friends try to convince him that every family has some problem so he need not even mention it to Taanya.
Finally, when Tej and Taanya’s families meet, there seems to be no problem and the proposal is mutually agreed upon. A grand wedding takes place and Taanya arrives in her sasuraal. The moment of shock come when all the rituals and ceremonies are over and the guests are all gone. Taanya realizes that Tej’s household is full of men, just men. All the chachis, mamis, buas etc who attended the wedding had all gone and she was the only woman in the house.
Taanya does not know how to handle this. Though in college days she was never uncomfortable among boys and she grew up with a brother, this was another feeling altogether. A life always surrounded by only men – all strangers to begin with – looks unimaginable. She stays put anyways but within twenty four hours she realizes that these men are like pebbles on a beach – all different from each other and rubbing each other sour. She realizes that each one is difficult to deal with. If one wants omlette for breakfast, the other wants halwa. And as if this was not enough there is a sasurji who is kind of a hitler and a chacha sasur who is a hitler-hater. An old dada sasur is also there to make matters worse.
Taanya’s despairs as she realizes that she needs to play the warden of a boy’s hostel where the boys ranged 60 to 12 in age groups. Taanya gives up, accuses Tej of cheating her by not telling the truth and leaves the house.
She returns to her maternal home, only to find that her brother and bhabhi all packed and ready to leave the house and her mother crying. Taanya’s bhabhi does not want to take the responsibility of her in-laws and hence she moves out of the house with Taanya’s brother. And before a shocked Taanya can utter a word about her own problem, her mother tells her that a woman, like a needle is supposed to stitch a family together and not break it. She asks Taanya to always keep her family together and never do anything to break it. Taanya has no alternative and she returns – determined to face the challenge.
