Good Luck Charlie is an original Disney Channel television sitcom, which premiered April 4, 2010. The series was created by Phil Baker and Drew Vaupen, who wanted to create a program that would appeal to entire families, as opposed to children only. It revolves around a Denver family, the Duncans, as they try to adjust to the birth of their fourth child, Charlotte "Charlie" Duncan (Mia Talerico). Among other decisions, executives included adult-centric scenes and changed the series title from Oops to Love, Teddy and finally to Good Luck Charlie in order to ensure the series would appeal to all family members. Good Luck Charlie premiered on Disney Channel in the United States on April 4, 2010. It premiered in Canada on April 5, 2010, the United Kingdom and Ireland on May 14, 2010, and in Australia and New Zealand on July 23, 2010. Good Luck Charlie was renewed for a second season, with production beginning in August 2010 with a season premiere on February 20, 2011. A feature-length Christmas Disney Channel Original Movie based on the series entitled Good Luck Charlie, It's Christmas! began production in March 2011 for a December 2011 premiere. On August 29, 2011, Disney Channel announced that they had renewed the series for a third season, scheduled to premiere in early 2012. The series centers on the Duncan family, who are still adjusting to the birth of their fourth child, Charlotte "Charlie" Duncan (Mia Talerico). When parents Amy (Leigh-Allyn Baker), a nurse, and Bob (Eric Allan Kramer), an exterminator, return to work, they ask their three older children—PJ (Jason Dolley), Teddy (Bridgit Mendler), and Gabe (Bradley Steven Perry)— for help raising their little sister. At the same time, Teddy, PJ, and Gabe try to deal with school and typical social challenges in their life.
The events of each episode become material for a video diary Teddy is making for her younger sister. Teddy hopes the videos will provide useful advice for Charlie after they have both grown up and Teddy has moved out. Also at the end of each video, she (and or other cast members) states, "Good luck, Charlie" or may even say it indirectly such as "Wish them good luck, Charlie

Summary:
The series follows two teenagers, Teddy Duncan (Bridgit Mendler) and Paul James (P.J.) Duncan (Jason Dolley), and their 10-year-old brother, Gabe Duncan (Bradley Steven Perry), whose parents enlist their help when they return to work after the birth of their fourth child, Charlotte, aka Charlie. With their parents juggling full time careers, the older Holliday siblings pitch in, getting very familiar with baby formula, burps, clothes, and babysitting while navigating typical teenage life. In each episode, Teddy creates a personalized video diary for Charlie. Each video will chronicle Teddy’s daily adventures and mishaps for Charlie to use as advice when her big sister is no longer living at home.

Episode Storyline:
Mrs. Wentz wins an audition to sing the national anthem at a Denver Nuggets basketball game, but Teddy is forced to take her place when Mrs. Wentz gets stage fright at the last minute. Meanwhile, Amy joins a social networking site and is upset when her kids won't accept her friend requests.

Boardwalk Empire is an American television series from cable network HBO, set in Atlantic City, New Jersey, during the Prohibition era. It stars Steve Buscemi as Enoch "Nucky" Thompson. The show was adapted from a book about historical criminal kingpin Enoch "Nucky" Johnson by Nelson Johnson entitled Boardwalk Empire: The Birth, High Times, and Corruption of Atlantic City, by Emmy Award-winning screenwriter and producer Terence Winter of The Sopranos.
The first episode, with a final cost of $18 million, was directed by Martin Scorsese and was the most expensive pilot episode produced in television history. On September 1, 2009, HBO picked up the series for an additional 11 episodes. It premiered on September 19, 2010. The series was immediately renewed for a second season on September 20, 2010, which will premiere on HBO on September 25, 2011.
Boardwalk Empire has received widespread critical acclaim, particularly for its visual style and historical accuracy, as well as for Buscemi's lead performance. The series was nominated for 18 Emmy Awards; winning eight, including Outstanding Directing for Martin Scorsese.
Boardwalk Empire is a period drama focusing on Enoch "Nucky" Thompson (based on the historical Enoch L. Johnson), a political figure who rose to prominence and controlled Atlantic City, New Jersey during the Prohibition period of the 1920s and 1930s. Nucky interacts with several historical figures in both his personal and political life, including mobsters, politicians, government agents, and the common folk who look up to him. The federal government also takes an interest in the bootlegging and other illegal activities in the area, sending agents to investigate possible mob connections but also looking at Nucky's lifestyle—expensive and lavish for a county political figure.

Episode Summary:
In the second-season premiere, Nucky eyes a real-estate bonanza when it comes to access to Atlantic City, but has his hands full trying to play peacemaker after Chalky has a run-in with the KKK. Meanwhile, Nelson shows his wife around town on a weekend visit; Jimmy mulls career advice from the Commodore; and Al Capone looks to expand the illegal-booze business in and around Chicago.

Today we have a new trailer for Justice, which equals yet another Nicolas Cage headlined stinker. Sadly, he drags co-stars Guy Pearce and January Jones down with him in this new thriller. The film doesn't look half bad, but it won't exactly be a two star or Abiding Dude worthy movie.

Cage plays Nick Gerard, a man who receives help from a vigilante service to settle the score with the perpetrator, after his wife is brutally assaulted. The only problem is after these mystery men assist Gerard in getting proper "justice" they want a favor in return (for him to murder someone), which Gerard is uncomfortable doing. Next thing he knows he's made enemies with the vigilantes, some of which are police officers. And blah...blah...blah. They frame him.

I used to love Cage, for the good movies he was in: Raising Arizona, The Weather Man, Lord of War, Adaptation, Con Air, Matchstick Men. However, it's like his current streak of shitty roles is a non-stop roller coaster ride that's not hitting the brakes any time soon.
Justice comes out sometime in 2011.

Remember Adam Sandler that funny actor who once did unforgettable comedies like Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, and used to make us laugh on Saturday Night Live? Whatever happened to him? It's hard to believe he's the same person whose churned out recent stinkers in Grown Ups and Just Go with It to what looks like arguably the worst comedy ever, Jack and Jill.

Sandler plays both title characters in this one: Jack who is annoyed when his sister, Jill comes to visit and then won't leave. What scares me is that there are people who will gladly pay for a ticket to see this movie on November 11th (11-11-11).

Disney originally pulled the plug on the Johnny Depp vehicle months ago due to an extravagant budget reaching nearly $250 million. Fortunately, Depp, Verbinski and producer Jerry Bruckheimer reworked their deals, and the studio was able to trim the film's budget down to around an estimated $215 million. It's speculated that Disney's reluctance to go with a $250 budget came largely from all the millions Universal sunk into the box-office flop of Cowboys & Aliens, a deal Deadline says is still costing the studio a "fortune".

If and when the two sides reach a compromise next week, the earliest production can start is January or February of 2012. At least, the project isn't doomed like it very recently appeared. I guess they were able to talk Verbinski out of using as much CGI for the western adventure film.

In case folks have forgotten, Depp will take the reins as Tonto in The Lone Ranger, who becomes the lead character in Justin Haythe's screenplay. This leaves a role reversal for The Lone Ranger, last said to be portrayed by Armie Hammer in the new film to serve as Tonto's sidekick. The new hero/sidekick dynamic might take some getting used to for Lone Ranger purists, if such people exist.
Expect an annoucement about The Lone Ranger being back on track next week.

The best action movie trailer I've ever seen is destined for a U.S. remake, even before it's theatrical release? The Raid by writer/director Gareth Edwards recently premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival, and created a major buzz for itself movie forward.

According to Heat Vision, Sony Screen Gems has entered into negotiations to buy the film's rights for the remake. The studio offered Edwards an opportunity to direct the remake, but he respectfully declined and has instead decided to focus on the sequel.
Can't we just leave a popular foreign film alone for a change, seriously? Movie goers can read subtitles.
The story of The Raid centers on a team of SWAT guys that infiltrate an apartment complex that's run by a local mobster. The team is surrounded by swarms of vicious killers and must fight their way out, in order to capture the boss.
The movie looks incredible. It's very much an action movie fans' wet dream: Martial arts, gun play, excessive bloodshed, a high body count, etc. I included the amazing trailer below, so we can all see why a U.S. distributor really wants to remake it. The answer starts with a "cha" and ends with a "ching", or simply cha-ching!
Good luck trying to recapture the same amazing cinematography. No wonder Edwards doesn't want to film a movie he perfected the first time.
