New Delhi, Sep 28: Lata Mangeshkar says she is proud of her younger brother Hridaynath Mangeshkar in whose name a lifetime achievement award has been instituted to mark his 75th year in the industry.

"Namaskar... On my birthday, an award has been instituted on my brother's name Hridaynath and it is called 'Hridaynath Award'. This award will be given to all those people who have done commendable job in their respective field. I am congratulating him and giving all my blessings to Hridaynath that an award is named after him. I am very happy for him," Lata posted on Twitter.

The 82-year-old Lata will receive this award Wednesday from Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan in the presence of special guest and filmmaker Yash Chopra at Matunga's Shanmukhananda Hall, in Mumbai.(IANS)

Washington, Sept 30: Reality TV star Kim Kardashian has revealed that she and her sisters look like ``trannies'' because they wear excessive make-up.
The actress said that she and her sisters, Kourtney and Khloe ended up applying too much cosmetics when their late father hired a professional make-up artist to give them beauty tips.

"He said, `My daughters are going to start to wear makeup and I want you guys to look at least presentable,' which I thought was really cool. And we've turned out to be the biggest trannies because of it," Contactmusic quoted the 30-year-old actress as telling xoJane. com
But many criticised the move and were unimpressed with the girls' excessive facial paint.
"We had publicists and people who would tell us, `Girls, tone it down. Stop wearing all the make-up.' But then we would read on our blogs - like in the comments and everything - and everyone was like, `What lipstick is this, what mascara do you use?' We were like, `We love make-up, so why try and be what we're not?'" she added.
Younger sibling, Khloe, added by saying that she did not mind the criticism as they knew that they did not have to apply too much make-up.
"We joke and say we are like trannies because we love hair and make-up," Khloe said. (ANI)

Washington, Sept 30 : Emma Stone has revealed that she is not concerned about her future changing after the release of the blockbuster `The Amazing Spider-Man'.

According to Empire magazine, the 22-year-old actress, who stars opposite Andrew Garfield in the flick, admitted that people have been telling her for a while that soon things would be different in her life but nothing has happened yet.

The `Easy A' star is not expecting her life to change in any way with the release of the movie, as fame hasn't affected her life so far.

Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan, who were present at a media event to promote their upcoming reality show Bigg Boss 5 on Colors spoke more about their good friend and director David Dhawan than the Bigg Boss show that they were supposed to promote.

Salman Khan, who is back in Mumbai for his reality show Bigg Boss 5 was apparently more interested in talking about his good friend and director David Dhawan rather than the show.

At a media event held for the promotion of Bigg Boss 5, Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan, the co-hosts started talking about David Dhawan and his food habits. They said, “He points at dishes laid out on other tables and asks the waiters to get the same order.”
If this was not rude enough, Salman and Sanjay went on to say that David can even eat out of dishes kept outside hotel rooms!
If you think they were humiliating the big director, you are wrong. Sallu and Sanjay said that they make fun of David Dhawan only because they want him to lose weight.

A lot has been speculated about Poonam Pandey being in the Bigg Boss 5 house. However, the 20-year-old model, who made it to the limelight by claiming to strip if the Indian cricket team wins the World Cup earlier this year, said that she will not be a part of the biggest reality show Bigg Boss 5 to be aired on Colors. Though Poonam did not keep her promise to the Indian cricket team, the model was reported to have been offered Rs 2 crore to strip on the reality show.

Speaking to a leading newspaper, Poonam Pandey confirmed that she will not be part of the Bigg Boss 5 show. The model said, “People are putting my name on the confirmed list. I am not on the show.”
Adding that Rs 2 crore was too less to strip on national television, Pandey said that she might strip in a Hollywood film that she has bagged. The Producers of the movie apparently approached her after they heard that she would strip for the Indian cricket team. Poonam said, “I don’t mind stripping on screen.”
One person who will be dejected on not getting to meet Poonam Pandey on Bigg Boss 5 will be the former South African cricketer Jonty Rhodes. Speaking to Hindustan Times, Jonty Rhodes had expressed his desire to meet Poonam. He said, “Let’s hope I get to see Poonam Pandey, but by all accounts she is still in hiding from the Indian cricket team.”

Walt Disney Pictures has finally given a nod to kick-start the delayed project The Lone Ranger. The production house will soon announce details about the project.

Reports say that The Lone Ranger might hit the floors next week. The movie was reportedly delayed due to monetary issues. However, Walt Disney Pictures has trimmed the budget and is all set to rehire the cast and crew for the forthcoming Hollywood movie.
Johnny Depp will be seen in the role of Tonto, Armie Hammer will reportedly enact the title role, and Ruth Wilson will be playing the female lead character in The Lone Ranger. However, it is not sure whether Barry Pepper, Helena Bonham Carter, James Badge Dale, Dwight Yoakam, and Tom Wilkinson will be roped in for the rest of the roles or not.
The Lone Ranger was originally planned with the budget of $250 million. Now it has been reduced to $215 million, says a report.

In an interesting revelation, Ranbir Kapoor has publicly confessed to having cheated in a relationship. Though Ranbir Kapoor did not name the girl he had cheated, it was pretty clear that he was referring to Deepika Padukone.
During an interview with a film magazine, Ranbir Kapoor admitted that he had cheated on his girl friend for another girl. Ranbir said, “I have cheated out of immaturity, out of inexperience, out of taking advantage of certain temptations, out of callousness.”

 Deepika Padukone, had in a recent interview mentioned that one of her boyfriends had cheated on her. Salman Khan, who is back in Mumbai to shoot for the Bigg Boss series, says that he is not 100 per cent better even though his operation for his nerve disorder was successful. The Bollywood star is co-hosting along with Sanjay Dutt.

Salman Khan left for the United States of America on August 29 to undergo a complicated surgery to rectify his nerve disorder. Though the surgery was successful, his pain has aggravated since he has begun shooting for EK Tha Tiger in Dublin.
Speaking to reporters, Salman Khan said, “The surgery was good. After the surgery, there was only 30-40 per cent pain. But as I started shooting in Dublin for my film...the pain increased due to cold weather...it is now 50-60 per cent.”
Salman Khan said that he will have to undergo another surgery after three-four months. Ek Tha Tiger, a Yash Raj Films production, stars Salman opposite Katrina Kaif and is expected to release in June 2012.
