Genelia D'souza and Riteish Deshmukh, who have been dating each other for the over seven years have apparently got engaged at a hush hush ceremony at the house of Riteish Deshmukh's father, Maharashtra CM Vilasrao Deshmukh's residence a fortnight ago.

If sources are to be believed, the family of the couple have been planning to get them married for some time now. An official engagement was hence the most appropriate thing to do.
Genelia and Riteish apparently went for a low key affair and did not invite any of their friends in Bollywood. Only a few family members and very close friends of the couple were present at the engagement.
A source revealed that though Genelia and Riteish have been dating each other for over seven years, they avoided talking about their relationship in public. However, they have made several public appearances at parties, award functions and on red carpets apart from doing several films together.
As per source, Riteish was always sure that he wanted to marry Genelia. However, it took him a while to convince his family who wanted him to get married to a girl from their community.

Bogota, Oct 6 - A spokesman for Colombian singer Shakira denied rumours that the international superstar has broken off her relationship with Spanish soccer player Gerard Pique.

"It is totally false, they remain together and they are very well," Shakira's chief publicist in Colombia, Rodrigo Beltran, told EFE.
He said the singer decided to clear the air after the breakup rumours circulated in European and Latin American media and on social networks.
Separately, Shakira used her Twitter account to wish Pique and the rest of the Spanish national soccer team success in this weekend's Euro Cup match against the Czech Republic.
"Good luck to the Spanish team this week and to my No. 3, muah! @3gerardpique . Shak," the singer tweeted.
Shakira, 34, and the 24-year-old Pique, who plays professionally for FC Barcelona, went public with their romance last year.

They were told, "Vague rumours and fabrications have cropped up from time to time, but there is no evidence in the historical record on this issue."
Kortan said the Hollywood film titans requested the meetings. He said the bureau did not attempt to shape the outcome of the movie, titled `J. Edgar'.
"We provided information so that their story could be accurate," ABC News quoted Kortan as saying.
"What they did with it, as with any production, has been entirely in their hands," he said.

Movie Plot Summary:
Adam (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) is a young man who has a girlfriend, Rachael (Bryce Dallas Howard), despite Adam's best friend and co-worker Kyle's (Seth Rogen) disliking her. One day, Adam decides to see a doctor because of back pains and discovers that he actually has a rare type of cancer and must undergo chemotherapy in order to reduce the tumor. The doctor gives Adam the phone number of the hospital's psychiatrist in case he needs someone to talk to.
Adam tells Rachael about the cancer and tells her that he won't mind if she prefers to leave him, but she says she'll stay by his side; however, she eventually starts to display growing signs of detachment to him. Adam also tells his mother Diane (Angelica Huston), who is also taking care of Adam's father, Richard (Serge Houde), who has Alzheimer's disease; and Kyle, who worries for his friend's survival.
Adam starts seeing an inexperienced psychologist, Katherine "Katie" McCay (Anna Kendrick), who helps him deal with his problems. He also befriends Alan (Philip Baker Hall) and Mitch (Matt Frewer), two older chemo patients receiving treatment alongside him, and grows fond of Skeletor, an old dog that Rachael rescues from the pound.
Kyle starts using Adam's illness to get dates, which annoys Adam. On one of these dates, he sees Rachael kissing another man and takes a picture of her affair on his cellphone, which he immediately shows to Adam. Angry, Adam tells Rachael to leave.
Adam and Kyle hang out with Alan and Mitch, and Adam becomes impressed with Mitch's loving relationship with his wife. Later on, Kyle urges Adam to use his cancer to get dates, but Adam doesn't want to. He ends up coming across Katie, who gives him a ride home. Adam starts developing an attraction to her. The next day, he and Kyle go to a bar, where they meet two women. Adam has sex with one of them, but is unable to enjoy it due to his back pains.
The following day, Adam goes to chemo, where he is told by Alan that Mitch died the previous night, something that shocks Adam and leads him to believe that he has no chance of survival. After Mitch's funeral, Adam sees Katie, who advises him to stop ignoring his mother, who is already having a hard time taking care of his father without having to worry about Adam not returning her calls. Adam sees the error of his ways and reconnects with his parents, who drive him to a doctor's appointment in which Adam is informed that his tumor has grown and he'll need to undergo surgery in a few days in order to have a chance of making a full recovery.
Increasingly nervous about the procedure, Adam decides to go drinking with Kyle, but ends up lashing out at Kyle for being more interested in having sex with random women than being there for him. He proceeds to have something of a nervous breakdown and decides to call Rachael, but ends up calling Katie, who tells him they might have something after his surgery. Adam takes Kyle back to his apartment, where he discovers that Kyle has been following the instructions of a book on how to cheer up cancer patients and realizes that Kyle was doing his best to prevent Adam from reminiscing about the cancer.
Adam undergoes surgery as Kyle, Katie, Diane and Richard await. The doctor informs them that, although it'll be a long and arduous process, Adam will recover completely. Katie later visits Adam, who thanks her for helping him.
Six months later, Kyle helps Adam prepare for his date with Katie, who arrives with pizza and asks Adam where their relationship will be going next.

King Khan Shahrukh might be a star of the tinsel town, but his personal life seems to controversial and shaky in recent times. Shahrukh's wife, Gauri Khan is believed to be very upset with her husband's growing friendship with Priyanka Chopra.

Gauri doesn't like the fact that Priyanka is always around her husband whenever she's shooting with him or during events. "The fondness between Priyanka and Shah Rukh has upset Gauri, who nowadays (sic) frequently gets in to arguments with her husband over the issue," says a blog run by a Bollywood assistant director.
"Gauri is quite upset with Shah Rukh's closeness to Priyanka and this has become a major reason of tiff between the two. Shah Rukh has devised a new way to deal with this issue and he is keeping himself busy in shooting films and other endorsements," says another insider on the web.
Source also reported that Ms Chopra is always around SRK. She is shooting with him, practicing with him (for performances), eating with him, partying with him. There's only Priyanka around SRK these days and nobody else, says the source.

Bollywood actress Rani Mukherjee seems to fulfill her dad's wish as she promised him to get married by 2012. The first indication of the good news of the actor's marriage has come from her father Ram Mukherjee.

“The dream of every father is to see his daughter married. I, too, want to see Rani married, and this is what I have asked from Durga Ma this year,” said Mr Mukerji.

“Rani is so busy all through the year that she has not been able to find time for her personal priorities like marriage. But I have spoken to her about it. She has promised me that she’s going to get married next year. I am very happy to tell you this because I want to see Rani married next year,” added the actor’s father.
