Series Storyline

Storylines:
The Mentalist follows Patrick Jane, an independent consultant for a fictionalised version of the California Bureau of Investigation (CBI) based in Sacramento, California. Although not an officer of the law of any sort, he uses skills from his former career as a successful psychic medium (which was a ruse, as he does not believe anyone actually has psychic abilities) to help a team of CBI agents solve various crimes, with the hope of one day bringing Red John, the murderer of his wife, Angela, and daughter, Charlotte, to justice. Patrick Jane formerly had a lucrative career as a con man, successfully posing as a psychic medium and enjoying near-celebrity status. He appeared on television to claim that his paranormal abilities helped the police profile a serial killer named Red John. Red John, angered by the perceived slight, murdered Jane's wife and young daughter in revenge. Jane subsequently abandoned his job as a psychic and teamed up with the CBI, using his skills to help them solve various crimes. His main focus is on the cases involving Red John or Red John copycats. He admits to faking the supernatural aspects of his skills, often asserting that "there's no such thing as psychics", yet he has finely honed skills in cold reading, hypnotism, and pickpocketing, as well as powerful observational skill and a deep insight into the human psyche and behavior. These skills come in handy in every episode, but his unorthodox and bizarre techniques to solve crimes sometimes offend the team of agents he works with.ploys and traps.

Show Storyline:
A woman who moves into an apartment next door to two brilliant but socially awkward physicists shows them how little they know about life outside of the laboratory. London, Nov 3 : Oprah Winfrey has revealed that she tried to kill herself in 1981 when she discovered that the man she was in love with was married and had children.

Winfrey, 57, was so upset of the fact that that she could not be with radio DJ Tim Watts that she drove her car into a tree in an apparent suicide bid.
The chat show queen had even wrote a suicide note to her best friend Gayle King, who put her on a 24/7 watch after she survived the crash.
According to the National Enquirer, Watts said that he and Oprah were both young and at an age when people do stupid things they might regret later.
The 59-year-old radio DJ insisted that they were now good friends and that they both had put their past behind them,
“Friends are hard to come by so I’ll hold onto the few I have,” the Daily Mail quoted Wattsas saying.
“What happened between me and Oprah took place a long time ago and we have both learned from it.
“I have no hard feelings towards her and she has none towards me.
“We were both young and at an age when people do stupid things they might regret later. We both moved on and are at good place in our lives,” he added.

Washington, Nov 2 : Judge Stephanie Sautner has indicated that she is ready to sentence Lindsay Lohan to approximately 30 days in jail for violating her probation.

Lohan, 25, will formally admit to the probation violation at the LAX Airport Courthouse.
The ‘Mean Girls’ star was ordered community service at the Downtown Women’s Center after she was caught stealing a necklace from a jewellery store, but the actress failed to show up regularly and the court decided to have another trial for her probation violation.
“Judge Stephanie Sautner has conveyed to the City Attorney, DA, and Lindsay’s attorney, Shawn Holley that she is leaning towards sentencing Lindsay to 30 days behind bars,” a source told Radar Online.
“Lindsay will be remanded into custody immediately, and because of jail overcrowding, she will be out in about 6-7 days. Lindsay most likely WON’T be released on house arrest,” the source added. (ANI)

New Delhi, Nov 2 - Director Shirish Kunder's "Joker", starring Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha, will hit cinemas worldwide Aug 30, 2012.

Production company UTV Motion Pictures announced the release date through a press statement, issued Wednesday.
The comedy film features Akshay as a character who return to his hometown -- a place that's so remote and crazy that it's not even on the map. What follows, puts the little town not just on the country's map, but makes it the focus of the entire globe.
The story also involves aliens in the 3D comedy movie.(IANS)
